Different types of powder coating
We offer a wide choice of powders including epoxy, polyester, acrylic and fluoropolymer. Which type we use depends on the end use of the product. For example, we tend to coat most items with polyester powder as this is excellent for all-round use – it is corrosion-free, weather-resistant and great for outdoor as well as indoor use. Epoxy powder coating is cheaper but not suitable for use outdoors since it is not UV resistant. However it has good corrosion resistance so is fine for factory equipment etc.
For items such as wheelchairs, hoists, handrails, grab rails, tables and chairs for use in hospitals we apply a special anti-bacterial powder coating. This is a denser paint giving a heavier coverage and ensures that dirt etc. cannot penetrate the surface. Similarly for urban street furniture we can apply anti-graffiti coatings.
A huge choice of colours and finishes
Our experienced engineers will coat your products in any of a huge choice of BS or RAL colours including metallics and fluorescents . Finishes can be matt, gloss, satin or a variety of different textures such as crackle, stipple, hammered, leatherette, antique or even woodgrain-effect. We can also apply a clear lacquer coating on items such as silver alloy wheels or cast iron.
